Solaris is SVR4.0 co-developed with ATT/USL some years ago. I'm running
SVR4.2, UnixWare, USL's last effort prior to being bought by Novell.
SVR4.2 has had many bugs and problems with LpNet, the Berkely LPD and SysV
net printer Deamon. It could be that Solaris (your version, 2.4 is almost
shipping) has a DOA (as with the latest SVR4.2 (1.1.1 from Novell) LPD
server??
Nothing you can do... but get Solaris 2.4, I would guess.
